I have downloaded some files from the Corbel website for Quantech 4 and loaded them in successfully. I have not downloaded any updates for a while, and there are lots of them now. If I download the one big file that as all the updates to date, whats happens :

1) How do I actually do the update once the one big file is in my QT directory ?

2) Is it s problem if the big update file contains files that I may have already updated in the past ?

3) Is this a preferred way (other than the download time) to do the updating process rather than trying to keep track of which ones you did and didn't do ?

Thanks..... John

(1) There should be a file on the Corbel site that explains this. I think what you can do is just put the file in your Quantech directory and double click on it using explorer.
(2) Not a problem.
(3) One benefit of applying the program patches one at a time is that you can apply only the fixes you need. For example, if you don't process "AETNA" plans, you might want to skip any fixes that apply only to "AETNA" imports. This way, you won't be getting any new program bugs by applying patches you don't need (sometime this does happen.) Having just written that, for simplicity, I usually just grab the "All fixes" file from the web site and apply all of the fixes available to date.

And just so you are aware, at 5.0, fixes come in service packs. (though some individual fixes may be run as well.)
you will be able to run each service pack as available, or the most recent all inclusive service pack. (which, because of its size, you are better off running each svc pack as available. the most recent service pack will check to make sure you have run the prior svc pack, so you are protected from missing any fixes.
