I have been thinking about this and I can't think of a way that Relius can handle this. If I am losing a plan and want to provide an electronic file for everything to the new recordkeeper, is Relius capable of this?

obviously if new admin is using Relius you could just export the plan, if you are lucky enough to be on the same update.
otherwise, you could export the data via DER, or, alternatively print a couple of Report Writer reports to Excel, and let them do the rest of the work

You can export everything EXCEPT account information using census DER. You can not export "transaction" account information (i.e. contribution, gain/loss, etc) via census DER. To export that information you would have to use TIR, which is found under transactions. I believe (but am not absolutely sure) that you can export beginning balances through DER and would not have to use TIR.

What about ending balance?

you can pull that in the DER under transactions, although, as I mentioned, it might be easier to 'print' a Summary of Accounts to Excel. If you have never done that, it is real easy.
I suspect the headers might end up being off, but heck!

One thing to remember if you export a plan to send to another recordkeeper: ALL the plan history goes with it. That means that if you had a minor problem a few years back and posted a fix, the new recordkeeper will see it.

Another thing to remember is that a lot of sensitive data will go with it. It was mentioned at the RANDUG meeting in June that a firm had sent a plan to the new Relius recordkeeper. Along with it came the entire voice clip table from the prior administrator. This file included plan names, sponsor names, fund names, etc.

Corbel is aware of this problem and they are working to fix it. In the meantime, you probably don't want to be sending your competition information about all your clients!
