What is the due date for a profit sharing contribution to a 501© organization???
mbozek
For 415 purposes it is generally no more than 30 days after the date a 990 form is due.

Thanks for the response. Perhaps I should rephrase. Fiscal year and plan year are 6/30. Is the due date for contribution 4/15 of the following year? The same date as the 5500 extended filing deadline? Or 30 days after Form 990 for 6/30 is due?

What does the plan say?

It probably says it is due by the due date (including extensions) for filing the sponsor's tax return, which for this purpose would be the due date for the filing of the 990, which can be extended beyond the 5500 due date (by one month if I recall correctly).

AndyH,

It doesn't say, but you're exactly right. It's due by the due date for filing the tax return (plus extensions), which is their 990.

Thank you for clearing this up!
