Some were educating, some were interesting, some were intense, some were funny.

What are your nominees: post the "Topic Title" of the best threads of 2006.

I enjoyed the arguments about the lookback year for compensation for determining who's an HCE in the next year, I thought it provided lot's of laughs!

Started by non-tax pro on March 23, 2006 and had 8 pages and ended in July.

With the thousands of posts done in 2006 it would real hard to name just one. Kind of like naming a favorite poster. With so many expert, funny, entertaining, annoying ones out there, it's hard to name just one.

Ah, FLMaster....... Wonder what happened to him? Haven't heard from him lately.

I'm not sure I want my post (original poster) thought of as the best of 2006. But, I suppose this might be my 15 minutes so I guess I'll have to take it when/where I can!

I read through it and the whole thing made my head spin...though I have to admit besides Mike Preston solving my problem, I did also find the 17 year discussion between Mike and MJB useful down the road. Thanks to the both of you...

I had the popcorn all ready to go for the dustup between FLMaster & Mike Preston in the "Illegal 412(i) Plans" thread after FL sent MP the opinion letters. So I guess this one had the best potential but then fizzled.

Wow. Just took a look at this for the first time. It's like an Escher drawing.
