I know you can roll a roth 401(k) or 401(k) after paying taxes into a roth ira, but is the reverse true as well?

No, it's currently not provided for by the Code. Guess they didn't think "portability" thru on that one.

Really wouldn't make any sense either , Lori , cause the Roth 401(k) is subject to required minium distributions ( RMD ) while the Roth IRA is not . dry.gif
