Can the owner of a company maintain a SEP/IRA, but start a 401 (k) Plan for his staff? He will not participate in the (k) Plan.

Any thoughts?

The off-the-top-of-my-head answer to that is no, but I need to know more information. Why would you want to have a SEP for yourself and a 401(k) for your employees? Why don't you want to participate in the 401(k). Call me if you like, and I should be able to coach you through your options.
