A New Learning Series For Plan Sponsors at Universities and Colleges
New York, NY - October 5, 2009 - Cammack LaRhette Consulting, a full-service employee benefits and human resources consulting firm is launching a new learning series for plan sponsors at universities and colleges. The Cammack LaRhette 403(b) Curriculum will help plan sponsors learn more about managing their institution’s 403(b), 401(a) and 457 plans and navigate the impact of recent changes. The learning series begins the week of October 5, 2009 and is free of charge for participants.
The program was developed by a broad range of experts and is specifically targeted to plan sponsors of educational institutions who offer 403(b) plans. The goal is to provide program participants with a better understanding of how to develop cost-effective, competitive plans for employees. Topics covered will include - the new 403(b) reporting and audit requirements; understanding 403(b) plan fees; fiduciary liability and how to protect yourself; getting ready for a 403(b) plan audit; and working with vendors/consultants.
According to Jeffrey A. Levy, Cammack LaRhette’s Retirement Practice Leader, “This comprehensive 403(b) Curriculum was developed by some of the most well respected experts in the field and will provide great insight and information. It is a highly targeted program that will offer timely and meaningful information for plan sponsors at universities and colleges. Due to heightened fiduciary scrutiny and regulations, plan sponsors need to learn about and meet their reporting obligations. The Cammack LaRhette 403(b) Curriculum will help them with this knowledge.”
The Cammack LaRhette 403(b) Curriculum will consist of a full year of learning opportunities divided into 2 semesters. Plan sponsors will have the opportunity to receive emailed articles twice a month on timely topics written by Cammack LaRhette Consulting 403(b) experts as well as program partners that specialize in legal, accounting and investments specific to 403(b) plans. They will have access to two highly targeted webinars where new issues will be discussed and questions will be answered by Cammack LaRhette and partner experts. Registered participants will have exclusive access to a dedicated “Ask the Expert” section on the Cammack LaRhette’s web site, where they can ask 403(b) questions to which experts will respond. In-person roundtable meetings are in the planning stages in New York City, Boston, Chicago and Washington DC, where industry experts from Cammack LaRhette, plus legal, accounting and investment experts in 403(b) plans will be available to discuss challenges and potential solutions.
