The biggest, meatiest investment market in the galaxy is the one you and I create through our participation in 401k plans. According to Buck Consultants, a benefits consulting firm, 77 percent of all employees now participate in 401k plans when they are offered. The result is a massive opportunity for easy, tax deferred investing for you and me -- and a gigantic flow of fresh new investment funds -- and fees -- to the mutual fund firms that provide the best results.
Unfortunately, it isn't easy to know who is doing best.
