Retirement Plan Illustration Service

Welcome! I am Gary Lesser, a Indianapolis-based benefits consultant and software developer. I can provide you with a complete computer-generated illustration for review by you and your client, showing how contributions to a retirement plan would be allocated to each owner and non-owner employee. With this information, you will be able to present a plan that will meet your client's needs and objectives.

All I need to prepare an illustration is an order form, which is described at the end of this page.

This illustration service is only available to accountants, attorneys and other pension practitioners. Legal advice, or advice about contributions and their deductibility can only be provided by your client's tax or legal advisor.

What You Get

Three copies of each illustration will be forwarded to you within 24 hours. Two of the copies are provided on bond paper. Illustrations also can be sent by express mail. Each illustration usually is 6 pages in length. I will contact you prior to preparing illustration to discuss your or your client's needs. Employer contribution and/or allocation amounts can be optimized to favor an owner, a non-owner, or a group of employees. Elective amounts can be "complimented" with maximum effective employer contribution. The integration level can be provided or most efficient level computed. Other formats that contain the needed information may also be acceptable.

Minimum total charge (all services included) is $85.

Example: Your client is a sole proprietor with two common law employees. You want to evaluate an illustration of a SEP and an elective SEP (SARSEP) arrangement for your clients unincorporated business. You request two proposals, one integrated and one nonintegrated to allocate maximum 415 dollar limit to owner at lowest cost to employer. You want the illustrations sent by next-day express mail. The $125 cost can be computed as follows: $45 (basic fee) + $15 ($5 employee fee times 3) + $20 (2nd illustration fee) + $10 (integration fee) + $20 (elective SEP fee) + $15 (express mail fee).
