Guest RW
Any suggestions on websites where to find information on company's benefit plans (both qualified and nonqualified plans)?
Guest pineapple
The two websites listed below will give you exactly what you're looking for. The first site allows you to review 5500's filed by companies. (This will show qualified plans) The only drawback is that I believe the 5500's shown are two or three years old. The second site is for the Securities and Exchange Commission. Go to the EDGAR filings, and you can pull up SEC reports on companies. The annual filings disclose plans (both qualified and nonqualified) maintained by companies. It's time consuming, but you'd be amazed at the info you can find. www.freeerisa.com www.sec.gov
Guest BobParks
I use 10k wizard but it is essentially free edgar. You can input "deferred compensation" or "split dollar life insurance" and the search engine will pull the filings where those phrases exist. Theresa Lynn
http://www.freeerisa.com recently started adding the 1999 EFAST filings for plans. It also reorganized and updated the website to provide additional types of submissions.
