Idaho and West Virginia seem to have conformed their income tax codes

Recommended Posts

Idaho and West Virginia seem to have conformed their income tax codes to reflect the EGTRRA amendments to the Internal Revenue Code.

West Virginia: http://129.71.164.29/bill_status/2002sql/H...t-First_Sen.cfm (bill number 140)

WV EGTRRA pension bill is SB 608. SB 140 only changed some dates in the personal income tax code. SB 608 is an omnibus type bill that changed statutes affecting all 7 retirement plans, 6 DB and 1 DC. Note the compensation limit for all plans is in 5-10D-7. SB 608 text is attached, and is also available at:

ftp://129.71.164.29/ftp-senate02/SB100-199

The bill adopts the higher limits permitted by EGTRRA.

By my count, the only states still not conforming as of April 22,

2002 are Arizona, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Hawaii, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maine, Massachusetts, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Wisconsin.

If anyone has a different list of non-conforming states as of today, it would be appreciated. It has been difficult keeping up, although this website has been invaluable in that regard.
