What is an appropriate salary range for someone going into a position as an account administrator in the daily valuation dept of DC at a benefits firm?

She has a major in math and a couple years experience as a DB ret plan actuarial analyst at a similar firm. Left DB making in the mid $40's. Started ASPA take home exams...2 out of 3 complete.

Not enough information.

where are you located geographically?

what will be the client load? (client numbers, revenue)

what do YOU pay other DC administrators in your office?

is the DB experience relevant?

P.s. you may want to get a copy of ASPS's financial survey. They include fee schedules, salary surveys, etc.

According to this survey DC plan Level I Median base salary was around $36,000. DC plan Level II Median base was around $45,000.

However, this can vary considerably depending upon whether or not you are in New York or Idaho. :D

TPA firm is in Ohio. DB experience is only relevant as far as 5500 forms experience, dealing w/clients, and general ret plan knowledge. She will be working 40 hrs/wk and client load is in normal range.

I'd like to have an objective opinion w/o considering what I'm paying other DC administrators.

Thanks!
