Guest richez
Does anyone know what "MMO" refers to and can explain what it is? I believe it has something to do with a municipal obligation, but am not sure.

Guest Steve C
I'll agree with WDIK - Minimum Municipal Obligation. I'm familiar with the term from working with municipal pension plans in Pennsylvania. I suppose the same term could also be used in other venues. Here's an excerpt from the Pension Manual for Pennsylvania Local Government: "The required municipal contribution, referred to as the Minimum Municipal Obligation (MMO), is calculated annually. The MMO represents the municipality’s annual funding requirement. The calculation must be prepared for the upcoming calendar year, certified by the Chief Administrative Officer, and submitted to the municipality’s governing body by the last business day of September." With any luck, the Manual can be found here: http://www.inventpa.com/docs/Document/application/pdf/7efa1491-abbd-4ca8-8033-2c03f31d50e7/pension_manual.pdf
