Jim Chad
We use access and outlook for my palm and for a database to do mailmerges. When we mailmerge a letter, we save a paper copy in each client file. Does anyone have a decent way to save a copy electronically?
mwyatt
Get Adobe Acrobat (and or some other PDF file creator).
Jim Chad
Do you know if Adobe will let me create the 82 seperate pdf files as one operation? And do you have any ideas about how these could be efficiently sorted into file cabinet CS?
Fredman
Personally, I've passed on Adobe. About a month ago, I was searching for something similar and found PDF Creator (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfcreator/). Its open source/freeware, so you get what you pay for, but so far I've found it to be every bit as good as Adobe with less overhead and much cheaper. I have it running on a machine that sends our trade files. The trading vendor's software requires a printer to be hooked up, but with PDF Creator set as the default printer all of our trade reports now get saved as a PDF file with no user intervention.
