Retiree Returns to Covered Employment

A retiree in a multiemployer pension plan returns to work with a participating employer in covered employment. Is there any reason why the employer would not be required to make contributions on behalf of this individual?

What does the plan say?

Most likely you will need to suspend his/her benefits and start crediting additional benefits. I can't think of any reason why the employer would not be required to contribute, but you should check the document. Also, don't forget to give him a 204(h) Notice when you suspend his benefits.
