BG5150
Do I need a PTIN to draw up a 5330 for a client? I am not specifically paid to produce it. It is part of our general administration services for the plan. I know I don't need one for 5500's, but 5330's involve actual taxes and IRS revenue, so I'm a little hesitant. QKA, QPA, CPC, ERPATwo wrongs don't make a right, but three rights make a left.
Tom Poje
see #10 http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-tege/5330_phoneforum_qas.pdf and there is a further link on #
Belgarath
Just confirming something: You DO need a PTIN for a 5330 or 945 if you are being paid (directly, or indirectly as part of a general administrative fee) but you DON'T need one for a 2848 if you are an ERPA, right? This question seems to pop up now and then. Thanks.
