Ineedhelp
Has anyone had any experience with fidelity approving a qdro? I have called several times and get told different things each time. It has now been a month since I received acceptance letter stating they had received it. Just wanting to know how long your process took when it was finally in pa hands.
ETA Consulting LLC
They have about 18 months, but it really doesn't take longer than 18 hours. It may be one of those unfortunate times when service providers wait until a day before the required deadline to begin completing the task. It may sound a little cynical (and even pessimistic), but the reality is that the only information that will be of any value to you would likely come from Fidelity. Good Luck! Ineedhelp
I believe you are right. I have called and of course I can't speak to anyone that really knows anything. I get different time frames every time I call. One says fifteen working days. Another says there isn't a specific amount of time. They had to have the qdro two weeks before before they mailed out the acceptance letter.
jpod
I can almost guarantee that Fidelity is not the Plan Administrator, but is merely providing a "QDRO Service" package to the Plan Administrator. If you want to apply pressure you, or preferably your lawyer, should apply pressure on the Employer, which is either the Plan Administrator or to a certain extent in control of the Plan Administrator. It might do some good if the Employer is understanding and is willing to raise hell with its Fidelity contact person. hr for me, GMK, Lou S. and 1 other
