R. Butler Posted March 19, 2019 Share Posted March 19, 2019 Participant pays gym membership. He has a Letter of Medical Necessity and it has been determined that it would qualify for reimbursement. So since the service was for 2019, that is when the claim must be applied to. (This is actually one of the things the IRS did that actually makes sense. Often, people need to get the FSA reimbursement, before they can actually pay the service provider.
