I'm in a similar situation considering asking my lawyer to look into it. My particular esop I belong to is supposed to distribute one year after termination (not five, principal financial was very clear about that). I've been told by the company that I have to wait for the window within the year, no problem I understand it's alot of money and the company is in the process of of being sold. My issue is the company hasn't been sold yet as of the current date and the company hasn't reported in over a year December 2022 was the last report in fact. The only consistent thing I could find online is that most esops have to report yearly. So I guess my question is about valuation. I'm not trying to be malicious and hurt the company I simply want the valuation I believe I'm privileged to. Considering if they had done the evaluation and I had my number for 2023 I believe I would have been paid out by now. When I call the company I keep getting another month, another month. Thoughts?
