  1. Relius is transitioning to a completely web-based system (ASP/Web Client). You can no longer print, create an export file or electronically file the Form 5500 from the desktop software. You need to publish the return to Web Client and print and/or electronically file from there. You still have the ability to print the 8955-SSA and create the FIRE System file from the desktop version.
  2. Can someone explain to me why the Schedule SB, Line 18 contributions would not tie to the contributions on line 2a(1)A on the Schedule H or the audited financial statements? And provide a reference/source, if possible. The Form 5500, Schedule H normally ties directly to the financial statements and most of the time the contribution amount differs from the Schedule SB, Line 18 that we end up getting from the actuary. TIA
  3. I submitted this incident to Relius yesterday. Here is their response: "We resubmit Submission Failures every morning at 3:00am. 90 percent of those usually go thru. 90 percent of the remaining ones will go thru by Republishing and refiling. The ones left usually have issues somewhere. We know that they go thru at 3:00am, so it is not an issue with the data. So if you have had anymore come back, go ahead and republish those and resubmit, or wait for the morning after the 3:00am resubmission of Submission Failures to see if it goes thru later. "
  4. See the "Important Reminder" September 16, 2010 Dear SunGard's Relius Government Forms 5500 Web Client Customer: Relius Government Forms 5500 Web Client completed an update this past weekend, September 11, 2010, which includes the following: *********************************************************** The 2010 forms were added as well as important bug fixes to the system. Additionally, please be aware that an important fix was added after hours on Wednesday September 15th to change the default form year back to 2009. IMPORTANT REMINDER: The 5500 filing deadline is 10/15. The plan must be accepted by the DOL by October 15th (status in WebClient of “Received”) in order for the plan to be considered filed by the deadline. Due to an anticipated high volume of plan submissions as the filing deadline approaches, we strongly recommend plan submission no later than Tuesday, October 12th. This should give you sufficient time for resubmission of the plan should any issues arise.
  5. I hope someone can assist with the questions below. We are trying to anticipate the issues that will arise with clients that wait until October 15 to file and do not have the financial statements available. Please post if anyone has had experience with two scenarios described: Scenario 1: The 2009 Form 5500 is required to attach the report of the IQPA, but the report will not be attached to the electronic filing that is submitted with the Form 5500 to the DOL. Part III of the Schedule H is not completed. The filing will be accepted by the DOL as a timely filed return, but the filing should be amended ASAP. This is consistent with FAQ25. Per the EFAST2 helpdesk the filing status most likely will be the status “Filing Error”, but they are not sure. Which filing status will be received - Filing Stopped, Filing Error or Filing Received (all indicate that the return is timely filed; the first two indicate an amended returns is required) Scenario 2: The 2009 Form 5500 is required to attach the report of the IQPA, but the report will not be attached to the electronic filing that is submitted with the Form 5500 to the DOL. Part III of the Schedule H is completed. The EFAST2 helpdesk does not know whether or not this filing will get Filing Unprocessable (not timely filed) or Filing Error/Filing Stopped. Which filing status will be received - Filing Unprocessable, Filing Stopped, Filing Error or Filing Received? Filing Unprocesssable indicates the return is not timely filed; so we move into a DFVC filing instead of amended return filing. Thanks.
