Guest Asvedlow Posted June 21, 2001 Posted June 21, 2001 Is it essential that Schedule Q be filed along with the 5307 application for determination letter? It seems that this is not pertinent to the application process and is an operational aspect of the plan as opposed to a review of the plan in form. What are your thoughts?
Guest Ray Williams Posted June 21, 2001 Posted June 21, 2001 The instructions for the 5307 require a Schedule Q for all plan filings. We file several hundred determination requests each year, and have been required to file a Q each time. If it is not filed with the 5307, the agent will request a copy.
Guest MTransue Posted June 22, 2001 Posted June 22, 2001 For now, Schedule Q is required for the IRS Submissions. However, I've heard a rumor that in the future, Schedule Q may become optional or unnecessary...stay tuned.
