what's your take on this situation: A firm uses a POA to sign Form 5500 for the Plan Administrator, then the person named on the POA has his secretary sign his name to the forms.

My opinion is that it is always wrong when someone signs your name to anything. I would have to believe that if "X" is named on the POA, and that "Y" (the assistant to "X") signs the form, then it is not valid. I suppose if "Y" has POA for "X", you might have half a leg to stand on, but I wouldn't count on it.
