Guest April Posted November 14, 2001 Posted November 14, 2001 Most insurance carriers have different benefit levels to cover TMJ and some do not cover them at all. Is there any documentation that an FSA covers TMJ and devices associated with the problem, for example mouth guards?
mroberts Posted November 15, 2001 Posted November 15, 2001 I don't believe there will be any documentation that's going to specifically mention TMJ as being a covered expense. However, it is a recognized medical condition that is not considered cosmetic or not necessary to treat so it should be allowed under your FSA.
