I am looking to see what other companies do above and beyond their basic benefits. Such as Flex Time and Education Reimbursement.

At my old company they also provided: Flex-time/alternative work schedules, seminars, employee assistance programs, performance based spot bonuses, dress casual days, tele-commuting, day care for sick children at a local Catholic Hospital, work environment, etc.

Some larger companies also have VEBA's.

Many things you can do for employees to improve morale. We just have to be creative as their employers.

As an example, the State of California has the 401(k)/457(B) programs, Flex account for medical and dependent care, Flex-time, telecommute program (which can vary with collective bargaining units as we have 21, plus non-rep employees), sick time use for family care, child care and certain activities; EAP; life, LTD, LTC insurances available. Some of these benefits such as EAP are at no cost to employees. Many employees have employer paid term life policies, which they can buy-up the value of should they choose under the group plan. we also have a group legal service available to many employees, with rates based in employee only, two party and family premium structure. Again, some of this varies a bit depending on an employee's bargaining unit, but all non-rep employees have access to all benefits described. Hope this helps.
