Guest KTigges Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 Are unallocated shares within a leveraged ESOP considered plan assets? If yes, where would you report this amount on the 5500?
Guest ptpnthr Posted November 16, 2001 Posted November 16, 2001 The unallocated shares are clearly plan assets. They should be reported on the Schedule E.
Disco Stu Posted November 20, 2001 Posted November 20, 2001 To go into slightly more detail....all of the employer stock, whether released or in suspense, is reported on the same line as an asset of the plan. The remaining principal balance on the loan is reported in the liabilities section.
