Guest MCarey1 Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I have a plan with an effective date of 8/8/2001. Do I indicate in Part 1 that the plan year begins 8/8 and ends 12/31. Then indicate a short plan year and indicate it is the first return filed. Relius does not seem to like this approach.
Guest Emiliano Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 Does the plan document specify a plan fiscal year?
Guest Emiliano Posted May 2, 2002 Posted May 2, 2002 I think you have it right then. I don't know why Relius would object.
Guest PDDeBoy Posted May 4, 2002 Posted May 4, 2002 Agree with Emiliano. It is actually most common to hae the first plan year be the one filed as a short plan year.
