Guest tcunagin Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 If a MPP plan has forfeitures that reduce the employer contribution listed on Sch. I. Should the reduced amount be listed as the minimum funding on Sch. R?
Guest Tbrown Posted June 18, 2002 Posted June 18, 2002 I believe that you would still report the total contribution amount as the minimum funding amount. The forfeitures don't reduce the minimum funding requirement, they just reduce the amount the sponsor has to pay to meet the minimum funding requirement.

Guest Tbrown Posted June 19, 2002 Posted June 19, 2002 Thanks Blinky. It seems that thread came to the same conclusion we did. No one knows for sure and everyone is doing it differently. My guess is that it isn't going to matter that much anyway as it wouldn't likely cause any problems either way. The only concern would be whether or not the amounts on Schedule R and Schedule I being different would trigger an audit. I've never seen that happen.
