Guest lisbetf Posted August 13, 2002 Posted August 13, 2002 A lot of the RFP's my firm has been getting have asked if we could provide a Web based Pension Benefit Calculator. I was wondering if other TPA's provide this service, and if so, how they developed it. If there is some company that does this type of work, I would rather use them than spend my time creating one from scratch. Any ideas?
BeckyMiller Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 Not sure what the prospects are requesting? Is this a DB plan or a DC plan? For a DC plan where they just want to help the participant anticipate how much additional retirement income he or she could get out of increasing their savings, I LOVE http://www.smartmoney.com/retirement/401k/...m?story=planner It builds this cool visual. I haven't tested it under all fact patterns, but I have looked at it for the basic 401(k) savings impact and the results are predictable.
Guest lisbetf Posted August 15, 2002 Posted August 15, 2002 I apologize for not specifying that I am referring to a defined benefit plan RFP.
Guest Lex Posted August 17, 2002 Posted August 17, 2002 Invesmart, Inc. has developed a web-based program known as Pension Direct. The program performs the calculations (based on plan provisions, salary, form of distribution, etc.), allows participants to plan for retirement (includes DB, DC, personal savings for retirement, IRAs, Soc Sec), and teaches participants about their DB plan. Go to invesmart.com to find more information.
Guest Blueglass Posted December 2, 2003 Posted December 2, 2003 Thanks for posting this, our participants ask for a calculator all the time.
