Guest Peter Riggins Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Would Schedule C be required to report the asset charges (if greater than $5,000) deducted from the assets of a 401(k) plan by an insurance company? Seems like this type of charge is similar to a mutual fund company investment management fee which I have never seen reported on Schedule C.
jaemmons Posted August 29, 2002 Posted August 29, 2002 Unless the admin charges are reflected on the Schedule A, you must report it on the Schedule C. The insurance company is providing contracted administrative services to the plan, so they are not exempt from being reported on this schedule. Keep in mind that the Schedule C is only required for large plan filers.
