Guest paola contini thompson Posted May 2, 2000 Posted May 2, 2000 We are exploring the possibility of offering adoption asssitance to our employees. I would love to hear what other companies offer their employees. Thank you.
Guest nac Posted May 2, 2000 Posted May 2, 2000 We're a mid-sized insurance company with about 3,000 employees and agents. Our adoption benefit is $5,000 per child to a lifetime max of 2. We reimburse 80% of eligible expenses - legal, travel, uninsured medical for the child, agency fees, etc. We also give adoptive and foster parents 5 days paid leave in addition to the Connecticut standard 16 weeks under FMLA. A good, quick source to get a sense of the range of adoption benefits offered is the Working Mother 100 Best Companies survey. I think it's published in the September issue of the magazine.
Guest Kelli Kennedy Posted May 10, 2000 Posted May 10, 2000 We are exploring the same type of program. Any advice from larger companies implemented this type of plan? What are the problems you ran into?
