Guest Thornton Posted March 13, 1999 Posted March 13, 1999 We are currently converting to QT and the system freezes up on a regular basis. Have others experienced this?
Dan Posted March 13, 1999 Posted March 13, 1999 Yes, it happens on occasion. Database errors (Quantech uses a mutliple database structure) and Windows operating system errors can all freeze up Quantech. [This message has been edited by Dan (edited 03-13-99).]
Guest JohnB10 Posted March 13, 1999 Posted March 13, 1999 My experience with the system is that there are very few locking problems. We're processing over 1500 plans with typically 25 concurrent users and we've had infrequent locks. Some things to check: (1) Call Quantech support. Be ready to tell them exactly what you were doing when the system locks up. If they fix your problem, post the results on this message board. (2) Are your database server and your desktop machines adequate? Is it possible what appears to be locking up is really a very slow situation. (3) Do you have the latest, greatest patches from WWW.Corbel.com? (4) Try running the "Module Verification" from the system administrator's menu. This will show if you have all the correct "dll's". You should run this during various processes, because different processes use different dll's. You'll need to do this on each PC that is having problems. Hope this helps!
