Use of the Voice Response Unit and web site software.

I am currently reviewing the addition of the Voice Response Unit and web site software sponsored by Corbel. If you have had any experience with either of these please e-mail me or post a message to this board regarding your satisfaction with these systems and any pitfalls that you may know of. Thanks.

I have only viewed the demo web site, but I am very familiar with the VRU. The VRU is a nice product. Edify is a solid platform, and you should find it fairly easy to install and voice. There are a few pitfalls, but I think they are minor problems. One is that Edify really has some nice options that you are not able to take advantage of with the Qtech agreement. The other is the way Qtech would like for you to voice the files. I found that calling the number and entering the special code to voice from the outside did not produce the quality I was looking for. Luckily, I was familiar enough with Edify, since I also use it for TrustMark, that I was able to voice directly into the box through a back door. It is a painstaking project but I found the quality to be 10 times better. This is also a good time change some of the standard wording that Qtech suggest since most participants really do not understand what “conform ending balance” means and there are a few others. (personal opinion) The support for the VRU is good and I think you would be happy with its performance. Again, I do not use their web product but found the demo to be lacking in appearance and customization. They may have enhanced some features since I have seen it, which was many months ago.
