Guest Posted December 10, 1999 Posted December 10, 1999 just so no one else spends time spinning wheels on this one: 1099 link with hypeprep was not working (our ystem was 'hanging'. supposedly others have encountered similar problems. I was told there would be a fix shortly. In fact, the link was supposedly fixed, but another issue was also being addressed. also having them investigate another issue with a plan that some distributions run at 4.0 and others distributions at 5.0. The distribution amounts were not showing under Utilities-->distributions. and the names of ees run at 4.0 don't show at all, only soc sec numbers. hopefully I will know more shortly. was also told you now need to run Processing-->Distribution Data, which will be a change from 4.0.
Sue H Posted December 15, 1999 Posted December 15, 1999 Just a clarification, you only need to do the Processing|Distribution Data step if you want the system to calculate withholding (you need to select the checkbox on the transaction prior to posting in order to have this calculated). You do not need to do this step if you are not calculating withholding, the Compute Peak 1099 process will still pick up the data as it did at 4.1.
Guest Posted December 20, 1999 Posted December 20, 1999 there is a fix for the 1099 link with Hyperprep problem at 5-0 on the Corbel website. Appears to work, though I didn't see any notes indicating what the purpose of the fix was for. I was simply informed it was available, so I am passing that info on.
Sue H Posted December 21, 1999 Posted December 21, 1999 The fix corrects both the "hanging" issue and a situation where forms were not being created for certain distribution codes.
