Guest Alwaysthinking Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 Do you need to file a schedule T for a 412(i) DB Plan?
Guest Alwaysthinking Posted July 2, 2003 Posted July 2, 2003 I guess nobody wants to touch this with a 10 foot pole?
pmacduff Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 I'm no expert, but the instructions for Schedule T say that it is filed for plans to report "compliance with the minimum coverage of Code Section 410(b)". I don't know 412(i) DB plans, but I would say if they are subject to the 410(b) minimum coverage rules, then you need to file it. Just a guess............
Guest DFerrare Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 412(i) plans are subject to 410(b) and a Schedule T is required. Generally, an employee is treated as benefiting under 412(i) if a premium is paid on behalf of the employee for the plan year. See 1.410(b)-3(a)(2)(iv).
Guest Alwaysthinking Posted July 3, 2003 Posted July 3, 2003 Thanks. That is want I was thinking, but I wanted some reassurance.
