Guest LoloV Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 We just received auditor info for a plan today. The plan sponsor wants the 5500 filed today and does not want to extend. The trust officer for the plan is about 2 hours away and would like me to e-mail the form. However, he does not have the software on his end. Does anyone know of a way to print an e-mailed 5500 (Relius software) without having the software? I would appreciate any ideas.
BFree Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 You can try to print it to an acrobat file and email it. However, I have gotten the word "Draft" or "Copy" on my tries at adobe acrobat.
Fredman Posted July 31, 2003 Posted July 31, 2003 I tried a few different things, but I wasn't able to create a file that could be filed (everything said, "for review only, do not file" where the barcodes are). If you are using the Relius software, the person has a high speed Internet connection and you have enough user licenses the trust officer could try and download the latest version of the software from Corbel's website and install it. You'd then need to find the actual file that holds the data and email that to them so they can open and print. This also assumes they have a decent enough printer to print filable forms. So, here's what I would do...save yourself some time and file the extension. The plan sponsor won't be thought of "late" or "tardy" or "lazy" for filing the extension.
