Guest mpark Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 One of our employees submitted the EOB from the insurance for services rendered without an actually receipt. Is this acceptable documentation to process the claim?
Guest MSMA Posted July 26, 2004 Posted July 26, 2004 EOBs are perfectly acceptable as this tells you when & where the service was rendered...and the patient's responsibility. Payment does not need to have occurred prior to "reimbursing".
GBurns Posted July 27, 2004 Posted July 27, 2004 mpark I am curious as to your thinking. Why were you questioning the use of the EOB? What is the relevance of a receipt? George D.
