Guest Dave@API Posted January 21, 2005 Posted January 21, 2005 Has anyone out here upgraded to 9.1 and/or 10.0 ? Any major snags while upgrading? Any feedback positive or negative would be helpful? I heard 9.1 was a small upgrade, but I'm a little worried about 10.0.
Leopurrd Posted January 22, 2005 Posted January 22, 2005 We're at 9.1, service pack 3. No issues here. I am also curious about 10.0 - I know that there are some major hardware upgrades to be made at 10.1 so we've held off going to 10 at the moment..... Vicki
Guest sjphillips Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 We upgraded to 10.0 the weekend of January 29th. No major problems. One time saving step is to run the workstation component upgrade prior to the upgrade day. Also, I believe tha the oracle upgrades that were attached to 10.1 will no longer be required. . .
Leopurrd Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 SJ, Why do you think the oracle upgrades will no longer be required? I don't remember seeing anything from Corbel on this? Vicki
FAPInJax Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 Oracle upgrades were not required as part of Version 10.0. It is expected that Version 10.1 will need the Oracle upgrade.
Guest sjphillips Posted February 16, 2005 Posted February 16, 2005 In speaking with Steve Desanto last week, Corbel will be pushing back the Oracle 10g requirement, possibly to the 11.0 release. There are substantial security and other enhancements in the 10g release 2 that Corbel feels are important. I'm not sure that they have yet released the info. Steve said to give him a call if you have questions regarding the technical reasons why they elected to wait for 10g release2 or for Oracle migration scheduling.
Leopurrd Posted February 17, 2005 Posted February 17, 2005 Thanks for the replies - I was just curious because we had some issues with hardware upgrades on this - it's nice to know they've decided to wait on this Vicki
