Can anyone tell me where I can get totals on multiemployer plans and participants for welfare and pension plans?

You could try freeerisa.com for past 5500 filings. Or go to their websites and see if they post the SAR for participants.

Not sure what numbers you are looking for.

Thanks for your response. I am looking for the total number of multi-employer plans and participants for welfare plans and pension plans. I am trying to update figures from a book written in 1192. The totals then were 7000 plans; 8.5 million participants in welfare plans and 10.5 million participants in pension plans.

tinaud54, Have you tried digging around in the Department of Labor website or calling the DOL? I'm sure that DOL would have some very current statistics about multiemployer plans.
