Guest actuarial_scientist Posted September 30, 2005 Posted September 30, 2005 I'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting, but I figured I try anyway...I'm taking the 2nd SOA exam, exam FM in November. I'm really behind and I need some help in finding out where to get good study books/guides.
david rigby Posted October 1, 2005 Posted October 1, 2005 http://www.soa.org/ccm/content/exams-educa...nd-supplements/ Best starting point is the study notes and suggested texts. Although FM is not offered this fall, I strongly recommend the actuarial seminars at Georgia State University. http://www.rmi.gsu.edu/actuarial/profeduc/prosched_blank.htm I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
Guest actuarial_scientist Posted October 2, 2005 Posted October 2, 2005 Great thanks a lot. I'll look at both of those sites. In my searching I also found a site at http://www.digitalactuarialresources.com/ which has equation guides for the SOA exams. The site looks pretty new, and luckily they have a guide available for exam FM, just in case anyone else is interested.
