Tom Poje Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 these are a mixed lot (not westerns) one of them, for example is an Alfred Hitchcock 1. ZIT IN NECK AE 2. NINE GREW NO OTHER FIT 3. EXIT OLD HEART DREAM 4. HELLO NEAT PAW 5. I WON REWARD 6. RARE KIDS FOOL HEARTS 7. SIR PACK US JARS 8. BUS GETS SHORT 9. THINK WASH ON DAMPER SHEET 10. MT PONY WATER 11. IN MATH THEN 12. GOD NORTH LIFERS
WDIK Posted April 26, 2006 Posted April 26, 2006 To start off with a couple of easy ones (and then hopefully get back to work): 1 - Citizen Kane 4 - Lethal Weapon ...but then again, What Do I Know?
Tom Poje Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 hints (for WDIK since he can't stand me posting these puzzles) 2. Action/Adventure 3. Sci-Fi 6. Action/Adventure 9. Drama 10. Comedy 12.Action/Fantasy
WDIK Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I admit I have a problem. Two more and then back to work. 10 - Pretty Woman 12 - Lord of the Rings ...but then again, What Do I Know?
wsp Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 I thought for sure #2 was The Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death.....but I realized that there was no "V" in it. So I'm going to have to say The Towering Inferno.
WDIK Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 The bank may be coming to forclose today, but at least I'm making progress with this infernal puzzle. 3 - The Matrix Reloaded Number six is one "t" shy of being Raiders of the Lost Ark. (EDIT: Perhaps if no one provides the answer for number 9, Tom will not be motivated to provide any further distractions today.) ...but then again, What Do I Know?
wsp Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Number six is one "t" shy of being Raiders of the Lost Ark. An error? There's an ERROR on this board! Blasphemy! And, your home goes up on the block right after mine. My wife will be so happy as she so loves to stay in our trailer. And after all, it is approaching summertime.
stephen Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Number six is one "t" shy of being Raiders of the Lost Ark. Perhaps Tom needed it for his name after all "Om" is not a very appealing name or perhaps there is in fact a different answer for #6. I am certain "Mr. Duck" will fess up if he in fact did make a error on the board.
Tom Poje Posted April 27, 2006 Author Posted April 27, 2006 can I correct it under EPCRS? dang, I only make an attempt from time to time to find a puzzle just to give someone a break from the madness we call pensions. I don't always double check to see if the stuff is correct. well, ok, in WDIK's case I post the puzzle just to drive the poor individual crazy. but if you had fun.....then it was worth it
WDIK Posted April 27, 2006 Posted April 27, 2006 Where can someone with my problem go for help? 9 - The Shawshank Redemption ...but then again, What Do I Know?
stephen Posted April 28, 2006 Posted April 28, 2006 Don't go to www.google.com for the Da Vinci Code Quest (a series of 24 puzzles relating to the movie) or to http://puzzles.usatoday.com/sudoku/ where USA Today has the last 30 days of Sudoku puzzles or you might work oin puzzles all of the time. OOPS! Maybe I shouldn't have said that!

No offense intended, WDIK. Just trying to find humor in others troubles so as to avoid confronting that same demon in myself. I have to say the puzzles certainly beat reading some of the sarcastic and derisive posts that we sometimes see in here. I say keep them up, Tom.
