mwyatt Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 Haven't been able to find the answer to this: client wanted to know if use of a signature stamp on the Form 5500 / Schedule P / SSA was ok, or whether signature must be hand signed. Any thoughts?
Guest SWH Posted May 23, 2006 Posted May 23, 2006 A legally binding signature is a legally binding signature, isn't it? I know that I have seen stamped signatures on Sch P plenty of times, if it helps.
mwyatt Posted May 23, 2006 Author Posted May 23, 2006 Thanks for the quick response. I know that I can't use a signature stamp on a Schedule B (very explicit in the instructions), but couldn't find anything in the 5500 instructions for plan sponsor signatures.
