Guest Moira Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 I have just discovered that a plan I'm taking over has filed his Form 5500s for at least the past 3 years with an incorrect employer id number. Can I just file the 2005 version with the "old" employer id number and use question 4 of the Form 5500 to change it to the correct employer id number? Opinions? Thanks.
Bird Posted September 27, 2006 Posted September 27, 2006 If you mean file it under the correct ("new"?) number and reference the incorrect ("old"?) number in Q 4, yes, that's all I'd do. Ed Snyder
