Guest stacyv Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 We have a section 125 flexible spending plan for health and dependant care. we also give employees the choice to receive cash instead of the medical benefit. should this amount they receive be taxable?
Guest stacyv Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 by medical benefits I mean instead of the health care insurance we pay them to not take it.
Guest b2kates Posted October 23, 2006 Posted October 23, 2006 choice of cash equals taxable compensation when received.
Guest Gompers Posted October 24, 2006 Posted October 24, 2006 I hope that this election is spelled out in your 125 Plan document. If not, then not only are the folks who get the cash taxed, but the folks who elect the insurance are taxed as well.
