Guest Jon G. Posted November 8, 2006 Posted November 8, 2006 I hope I'm posting this question on the correct Board. I'm dealing with a self-directed multiemployer defined contribution plan. Currently participants don't show up for the offered investment education classes and thus about 80% of the plan's assets are held in the default fund. The Trustees want to provide a $25.00 gas card to those participants who show up for the education classes and select investments. Can these cards be paid for out of the Trust? The plan provides that plan expenses can be paid out of the trust.
