JWK Posted December 7, 1999 Posted December 7, 1999 I understand this legislation (which extends section 420 transfers through 2005) was passed by both House and Senate. Does anybody know if the president signed/vetoed?
Dave Baker Posted December 8, 1999 Posted December 8, 1999 The THOMAS Web site (Library of Congress - http://thomas.loc.gov/) is showing no executive action on the bill (HR 1180), after the conference version was approved by both House and Senate in mid-November.
BeckyMiller Posted December 10, 1999 Posted December 10, 1999 The bill has been passed. Don't ask me why Thomas is not up to date. You can find the bill on CCH. This change is included in Section 535 of the bill. It is on the President's desk for signature. He is waiting for Senator Trent Lott to get back from surgery so he can be present at the signing. He is expected to sign.
