cdavis25 Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Will the EBSA accept a scanned version of the schedule B or do they require the original signature from the actuary?
Lori Friedman Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Are you asking about a paper filing or an electronic filing? Lori Friedman
david rigby Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 From page 23 of the 5500 instructions: "Schedule B – Statement by Enrolled Actuary.” A stamped or machine produced signature is not acceptable. I'm a retirement actuary. Nothing about my comments is intended or should be construed as investment, tax, legal or accounting advice. Occasionally, but not all the time, it might be reasonable to interpret my comments as actuarial or consulting advice.
cdavis25 Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Thanks. That is how I read it too, but I wasn't sure if that just referred to a computer generated signature or a copy of the original signature as well.
