Guest Sieve Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 What ERISA obligation/requirement, if any, is there for a multiemployer plan to provide annual (or other) estimates of withdrawal liability to employers?

Guest Sieve Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Thanks, Bill. I know that some multiemployer plans provide an annual estimate as a matter of course. How common is such an approach in the grand scheme of MEPs?
Bill Ecklund Posted October 19, 2009 Posted October 19, 2009 Thanks, Bill.I know that some multiemployer plans provide an annual estimate as a matter of course. How common is such an approach in the grand scheme of MEPs? In my experience, it is not common for a plan to automatically mail out the estimate. For plans with lots of contributing employers, it could be expensive to automatically mail out the estimate.
