katieinny Posted December 15, 2009 Posted December 15, 2009 I understand that Michelle's Law applies to Health Flexible Spending Accounts and Health Reimbursement Arrangements, but I think it must apply to Premium Only Plans, too. And is the deadline to get these amendments done 12/31/09 (for calendar year plans)? I sure hope not.
Guest jackmo Posted January 18, 2010 Posted January 18, 2010 Actually, I don't think Michelle's Law would apply to a POP plan. There is no health benefit provided by the POP plan itself (it provides a tax break), understanding that Health benefits may be provided THROUGH the POP plan.
katieinny Posted January 19, 2010 Author Posted January 19, 2010 Thanks, Jackmo. I was beginning to think that there was nobody out there. Normally, I try to get answers from other sources, but I wasn't having much luck with this one.
