Belgarath Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 The 2009 EZ? If so, doesn't seem very nice of the IRS to release it only to them - I can't find it anywhere!
goldtpa Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Just spoke with FT William. they said that the IRS told them to use the 2008 5500, just change the dates at the top to refelect the 2009 plan year. Thus the version on FT William is the 2008 5500. It says 2009 5500 on the input screen, however it prints out as the 2008 5500.
Belgarath Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 Interesting. Again, it would seem that the IRS isn't being very neighborly if they provide this option to them, without informing the rest of the pension world that it is available.
Bird Posted April 12, 2010 Posted April 12, 2010 ASPPA asap 2010-06 reported that "The IRS has informally indicated that it would accept the 2008 Form 5500‐EZ (mailed to IRS in Ogden, UT as noted below) to report 2009 plan year data until such time as the 2009 form is made available." *I* would only do that for a short year that is due, but I haven't seen anything that says you cannot use it for a full year right now.
