When registering on the EFAST2 website, what is the User Type for a TPA that will be filing on behalf of their clients? Filing author, filing signer, schedule author, or transmitter?

I asked Fort William - they said Filing Signer. And since I already have those credentials for my own plan, I can use them.

Thank you, Bird. I asked Relius and they said they were busy and that they'd answer the question in two weeks!

Datair told me that "Filing Signer" is correct but that DOL will not accept a filing in which the "Transmitter" credentials are the same as the "Filing Signer". I was told to obtain "Filing Signer" credentials using a different email address than the one I used to register as a "Transmitter", "Schedule Author" and "Filing Author".

Has anyone had a return accepted that was filed using the same credentials for "Transmitter" and "Filing Signer"?

Ask Datair. Ftwilliams and Relius don't require you to be a transmitter.

The movie of this dialogue was made in 1950. It was called Rashômon.
